Structure of the FiberCheck sensor
The FiberCheck sensor is characterized by its innovative and well-thought-out design, which combines precision, durability and easy integration:
1. Measuring wire technology:
A high-precision measuring wire is precisely applied to a special glass fleece using the latest embroidery technology.
This technique ensures a uniform and reproducible sensor structure.
2. Multi-layer lamination:
The embroidered glass fleece is carefully laminated into several layers of glass fiber reinforced plastic (GRP).
This process protects the sensor and at the same time ensures optimal force transmission from the rotor blade to the measuring wire.
3. Flexible integration options:
Direct integration:
The sensor can be integrated directly into the manufacturer's rotor blade design.
This enables seamless integration into new rotor blades without subsequent modifications.
Retrofit solution:
Alternatively, we offer a 20 cm long measuring bridge that can be retrofitted into any wind turbine in operation.
This solution enables easy retrofitting of existing systems.
4. Robust housing technology:
The measuring bridge is provided with a robust housing that offers protection against environmental influences.
5. Modern electronics:
Sophisticated electronic components process the sensor signals and ensure precise data transmission.
6. Made in Germany:
The entire production takes place in Germany under the strictest quality controls.
7. Material compatibility:
By using GL-certified glass fiber laminate, almost identical mechanical properties are achieved as the rotor blade material to be monitored.
These textile-based strain sensors are precisely integrated into the fiber-reinforced plastic composite structure during component manufacturing. This creates a sensor firmly bonded to the structure that reliably detects even the slightest strain and remains functional throughout the entire service life of the rotor blade.
